Golden Royalties Chapter of the American Business Women's Association Presents "24th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King

Every year, the Golden Royalties Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) hosts an annual education and scholarship event honoring the life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while at the same time collect monies to aid deserving young women in our community to go to college. We also give homage to his wife, the late Mrs. Coretta Scott King, the Woman behind his Dream. Program theme: "Who Is Keeping The Dream Alive?" The location: Dr. Thomas R. Burke Technical Education Center, Banquet Hall, Kansas City, Kansas Community College, 6565 State Ave. KCKS 66102. The time: 5-9pm. This elegant event consist of an evening with the community coming together in unity as everyone enjoy a wonderful program, dynamic speakers, live entertainment, a delicious soul food dinner buffet, a silent auction, door prizes and the networking moment of the evening! This year's event will consist of the 2017 MLK Honors Award Ceremony as six outstanding individuals in our community will be given special recognition for their incredible community service work in such catergories as: community service, education, entrepreneurship, humanitarian, medicine/healthcare and most honorable mentioned. Congratulations to our 2017 MLK Honorees: Christal Watson, Angela Nabors, Nia Richardson, Herbert Hardwick, Dr. Donald Peghee, Jr. and Dr. Doris P.
