We cordially invite you to join us as we celebrate, acknowledge, and appreciate our community members/organizations for the amazing work they do in Kansas City and award educational scholarships.

The Scholarship & Awards Black Tie Gala, our signature event, has been affectionately and accurately rebranded The Ebony Rose Gala to reflect on our purpose, history, and future as a premier Black Woman membership organization.

We believe our constituents, shareholders, community members, organizations, and participants deserve their love, acknowledgements, and appreciation while they can receive it. An Ebony Rose is meant to be a movement and a source of inspiration.

Hosted by Julee Jonez, Radio Personality for KPRS Hot 103 JAMZ. Evening will be filled with a silent auction, pictures, dance & music by DJ Q, a complimentary cocktail reception, fashion & more marketplace, individual plated dinner. Don't want to drive, WE HAVE A SPECIAL NCBW Room Rate, and they are going FAST!

We will celebrate our 9th Anniversary through giving and will honor Missouri State Senator, Barbara Anne Washington with the Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm “Greater Good” Award for Public Service, Jessica McClellan, Giving Hope & Help Inc. Founder & President with the Courageous Leadership Award and The Kansas City Boys Choir & Kansas City Girls Choir with the Community Excellence & Education Award.

Our VIBE Brilliantly Scholarship recipients are, Marlon Parker, Jr. (Van Horn HS), Kili Leavy (UMKC), Lydia McReynolds (Pembroke Hill HS), Adriana Wilson (Lee’s Summit HS), Ofelia Luna (East HS), Mya Abram (Paseo Academy), Zuri Primos (Lincoln College Prep HS), Laila Stevenson (Southeast HS), Bertha Hampton (Donnelly College), Makayla Hill (MU).
